Donald Morton,
Canadian, 68 years old, a veteran mountaineer, has been on an international
Lhotse expedition last year, climbed through the Khumbu ice fall to
Camps 1 and 2, and to the 'end' of the Western Cwm
Louis Marino,
French-American, 33 years old, works for Chamonix
Experience in winter, summited Cho Oyo with Himalayan Experience
in 2000
Shinji Tamura,
Japanese, 35 years old, runs a mountaineering agency in Zermatt
Yamada Atsushi,
Japanese, 23 years old on May 8, has been a climbing guide on Mt.Fuji
for two years, has been on expeditions to Kilimanjaro, Aconcagua,
Denali, Elbrus etc.
The Guides:
Russell Brice, (New Zealand). Russ is the expedition leader
and the owner of Himalayan Experience. This will be his 12th expedition
to Everest. Russ has guided over 38 Himalayan expeditions and is a
founder of IGO8000,
the association that regulates commercial expeditions to 8000 meter
peaks.
Ignacio Ochoa, Spanish, called Inaki, 35 years old, has been
on 20+ expeditions in Nepal, Pakistan, Tibet, South America, summited
7 of the 8000m peaks: Everest, Lhotse, GI GII, Broad Peak, Cho Oyo
twice, Shishapangma.
The Sherpas:
The regular team of Phurba Tashi Sherpa, and Loppasang Temba
Sherpa as his climbing sirdars, with Lachhu Bahadur Basnet
and Kul Bahadur Magar the chefs.
